Frequently Asked Questions

What does the rescue do?

Little Behinds Pug Rescue houses, feeds, nurtures, provides veterinary care, and good, old-fashioned TLC to pugs that have been surrendered from private owners, humane societies, and other rescue organizations.

Do you do adoptions?

The vast majority of dogs we receive have health conditions that preclude adoption. On the rare occasion we get a younger, healthier dog, we will advertise on Facebook that we are accepting applications for adoptions.

Tell us about the pugs!

All of the pugs in our care are disabled to some degree, with disabilities including blindness, deafness, skin conditions, dementia, teeth issues, incontinence, lameness, and partial paralysis. Some pugs come directly from owners unable to care for them, while others are from humane societies.

Are you a non-profit?

Little Behinds Pug Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization created in the State of Wisconsin in 2021. It has no employees and is operated solely by unpaid volunteers. The food, medications, and veterinary care for the pugs are funded by donations as well as occasional small fundraisers.
